Four EDC researchers and instructional designers will present at the 13th annual International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME-13):
- Al Cuoco will give the invited lecture, "Learning Modern Algebra from Early Attempts to Prove Fermat's Last Theorem: A Course for Prospective Teachers."
- Babette Moeller will conduct two presentations in conjunction with ICME-13, "Math for All: Establishing the Evidence Base for a Professional Development Program" and "Improving Math Teaching for All Through Collaborative Lesson Planning" (as part of the Classroom Teaching for All Students Conference, a pre-conference to ICME-13 held July 21-23, 2016 in Hamburg).
- Pam Buffington will present a paper she co-authored with Josephine Louie, Shannon Larsen, and Kelly McCormick, "Using 1-1 Mobile Technology to Support Student Discourse."
- Deborah Schifter will present as part of the "Teaching and Learning of Early Algebra" Topic Study Group.
