Distance Learning Summit

On November 1-3, a team of five senior EDC instructional designers—Kirsten Peterson, Ilene Kantrov, Kristen Bjork, Erin Earnst, and Stacie Cassat Green—will present and co-lead multi-disciplinary working sessions during the 2nd Annual Distance Learning Summit at Crystal Bridges. Hosted by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the focus of the Summit is "Art Museums & Educational Innovation." Peterson will provide Opening Remarks. Keynote speakers include Richard Culatta (Director, Office of Educational Technology, U.S. Department of Education), Elizabeth Merritt (Founding Director, Center for the Future of Museums), Beth Harris and Steven Zucker (Co-Founders and Executive Editors of Smarthistory on Khan Academy), Christine Kuan (Artsy), and Nik Honeysett (Balboa Park Online Collaborative). In 2015, EDC and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art won the American Alliance of Museums' Gold MUSE award for their development of the online course, "American Identity through the Arts."
