A team of specialists from EDC's EdTech Leaders Online (ETLO) program engaged 120 Massachusetts community college instructors and administrators in five regional meetings as part of EDC's work on the Massachusetts Community College Workforce Development Transformation Agenda (MCCWDTA). The meetings were designed to prepare participants—all of whom work in developmental and adult basic education programs across the state—to implement 24 curriculum modules EDC developed for developmental math and literacy, contextualized to health care, information technology, and advanced manufacturing.
The EDC team has begun to document the experiences of the instructors who are piloting the modules statewide. Several videos of instructors are now available online, including: Cindy Berger, an instructor at the Valley Opportunity Council (VOC) (watch a video of Cindy); Veronica Kell, Adjunct Mathematics Professor at Mount Wachusett Community College (watch a video of Veronica); and Katie Gomes Lyons, Curriculum Coordinator and Kelly Herlihy, Medical Office Services Coordinator at the Worcester Adult Learning Center (watch a video of Katie and Kelly).
