Goodyear Serves on New National Research Council Committee

Leslie Goodyear has been selected to serve as a member of the new National Research Council Committee on Successful Out-of-School STEM Learning. On behalf of the National Academies of Sciences, the Committee will conduct a public workshop in June (registration is now open) to identify the impacts of informal and afterschool STEM learning experiences and to explore how school and out-of-school environments can build upon and support one another. Based on the workshop and other sources, the Committee will also “develop a concise primer on successful out-of-school STEM learning for policy makers, youth development and education organizations, and private industries that support STEM education.” Learn more about the committee.
