Can CTE Change the Brain?

Full Description:

In this article published in Techniques—the journal of the Association for Career & Technical Education—the authors discuss how children and youth’s long-term intensive use of technology might change the ways they think. They consider two questions: Does developing task mastery and expertise change our brains? If so, then what elements of career and technical education (CTE) might support that development? They go on to discuss physiological changes in the brain that occur with the development of task mastery/expertise, illustrate those changes by describing how experts develop and learn, and close with an overview of implications for CTE.
