Redesigning Teacher Evaluation: Lessons from a Pilot Implementation

Full Description:

This REL-NEI report, published by the Institute of Education Sciences, presents findings and implications for future research from a study of teacher evaluation systems in the eight New Hampshire districts that received a School Improvement Grant. Drawing upon interview data, document reviews, and survey responses, the researchers compared the eight systems, measured implementation fidelity, and examined implementation factors. The report contains two instruments: a Teacher Professional Climate and Implementation Survey and an Evaluator Survey.
